Snaking vs jetting — which do you need?
A snake punches a hole through a clog. Jetting scrubs the pipe wall clean with 3,000+ PSI water. For grease buildup, scale in old cast-iron lines, or recurring backups, jetting is the only thing that actually fixes the problem long-term.
When to call for jetting
- The line keeps backing up every 3–6 months even after snaking
- Restaurant or commercial kitchen line
- Old cast-iron sewer line in a 1920s–1960s Akron home (Highland Square, Firestone Park, Goodyear Heights, West Hill)
- Camera scoping showed grease, scale, or soft buildup along the entire pipe
