Better Built Ohio (“BBO,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, request a quote, book a service, or buy from our showroom — and what we do with it.

1. Information we collect

You give us:

• Contact info: name, phone, email, billing/project address.
• Project details: measurements, photos, drawings, specs you upload through our intake forms (cabinets, doors/windows, countertops, etc.).
• Customer type: homeowner, tenant, investor, or commercial — used to apply correct pricing tiers.
• Payment info: handled by our payment processors (Melio for credit cards, Zelle/CashApp/Venmo/checks for other methods). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Communication content: texts, emails, voicemails you send us.

We collect automatically:

• IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, referring site.
• Cookies and similar tech for basic site function and analytics (see Section 5).

2. How we use your information

• Quote, schedule, and complete your project or service request.
• Send you spec sheets, estimates, invoices, and project updates.
• Coordinate with our crews, vendors, and suppliers to deliver your job.
• Respond to your questions and requests.
• Send service follow-ups, warranty reminders, and (with consent) occasional marketing messages.
• Improve our website and service offerings.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax records, building permits, etc.).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who we share it with

• Service partners: the trades crew assigned to your job (plumber, electrician, installer, etc.) gets your name, contact info, and project address only.
• Suppliers: when we order materials for your job (cabinets, countertops, flooring, doors, windows, appliances), the supplier may receive shipping name + address.
• Payment processors: Melio, banks, and similar to process payments you authorize.
• Software providers: we use third-party tools to run our business (CRM, scheduling, communications, accounting). These tools process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.

4. SMS & phone communications

Calls placed by Better Built Ohio may be recorded for quality and training purposes where permitted by law.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar tech (local storage, pixels) for:

• Keeping you logged in / remembering form state.
• Anonymous traffic analytics (which pages get visited, conversion tracking).
• Showroom shop functionality (cart, product views).

You can disable cookies in your browser, but some site features may not work correctly.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, secure server hosting. No system is 100% secure — we encourage you to use strong passwords and notify us immediately at sean@betterbuiltohio.com if you suspect any unauthorized access.

7. Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal info we have on you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate info.
• Ask us to delete your info, subject to legal/business retention obligations (we keep job records and tax data for the periods required by Ohio and federal law).
• Opt out of marketing communications (text or email).

8. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal info from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us info, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
